What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Device Specialist position at The Miriam Hospital?

We are seeking a full-time Cardiac Device Specialist to join us at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI and provide proficient interrogation and re-programming to patients with cardiac implantable electrical devices (CIEDs). Support may be conducted in-person or remotely via video or phone transmission.
Responsibilities :
Interrogate, interpret and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision
Troubleshoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution
Collaborate with physicians regarding device status and accurately document device analysis in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for review
Educate patients on all aspects of their device, including remote monitoring and follow-up protocol
Keep equipment in good working condition and notify appropriate personnel of problem areas or safety issues
Ensure programming rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications :
Current experience reviewing and managing in-person and remote device transmissions
Current BLS certification required
Bachelor's degree preferred
IBHRE or CCDS preferred
