Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent in this position, in collaboration with the Recreation & Community Services Program Manager, helps to organize and manage all events and activities for the participants and staff of the recreation programs.
Minimum Requirements:
• Strong demonstrated interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated understanding of group dynamics and conflict resolution
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and higher education in the field of childhood education or similar field of study
~OR~
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and experience with helping to plan, develop and manage youth programs
~AND~
• First Aid and CPR certifications required (will train)
• Experience supervising staff
• Experience working with and supervising large groups of school-age children through coaching, scouting, teaching, etc.
• Successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy
• Must be at least 18 years old
