Overview:
The position of Executive Director at The Mosby Foundation is a hands-on community oriented position. The ED is expected to be involved in community outreach and develop relations with volunteers, local businesses and potential donors. Management of day to day operations as well as a pet food pantry are core responsibilities. Social media skills and comfort with Canva and Microsoft Office Suite are necessary for this position. The ED needs to be able to communicate with a diverse group of people throughout the US.
The ED’s core responsibilities will be staff and volunteer management, revenue generation, balancing the budget, promotions and marketing, as well as taking the lead on creating and executing a fundraising plan. A significant portion of the ED’s responsibility centers on the development and growth of individual, corporate, and foundation, fundraising to support the ongoing, annual operations and mission of The Mosby Foundation.
Board communication focusing on reporting and maintaining transparency for daily operations is critical to this role. This is achieved through regular meetings and periodic email communication.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to project across diverse audiences-clients, donors and volunteers
- Preferred experience with grant writing and reporting
- Ability to evaluate applications for assistance and make decisions regarding pledge awards per the organization's guidelines
- Compassionate leadership; able to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position. Occasional evening or weekend hours are required for events and meetings, along with local travel.
