Summary
The People Operations Senior Program Manager supports The Museum of Flight's mission by designing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and tracking people and culture programs and initiatives. This role fosters an inclusive and innovative work environment by working closely with the department director to cultivate a workplace culture that drives employee engagement and supports the Museum's success. The Senior Program Manager provides professional, compliant, and up-to-date HR support and consultation to the People Operations Team related to HR management, employee development, and people-centered programs. This includes reviewing, analyzing, and recommending protocols and practices to address evolving organizational and workforce needs. Additionally, they may assist in learning and development content including leadership and staff training for employees and supervisors.

- Plan, develop, design, lead, and administer various human resource projects and programs i.e.: job analysis, job structure, competency frameworks, performance management, and compensation.
- Work with People and Culture teams to develop and implement plans to meet the goals of strategic initiatives.
- Write and develop job analyses including research, and shadowing roles for accuracy and greater efficiencies. Provide advice and counsel while collaborating with stakeholders.
- Guide and coach leaders in best practices in writing and developing job descriptions to ensure proper classifications based on data received from job analysis.
- Create and develop a comprehensive list of core competencies that are aligned with both the job description and performance evaluation tools.
- Collaborate with the People Operations leadership team, assist in the development of new programs and the review and enhancement of existing programs.
- Evaluate and identify issues, formulate resolutions, and pursue all necessary follow-up on key project tasks.
- Research, analyze data, and prepare reports on program goals and progress, industry and workforce trends, and future project suggestions and/or options to adjust priorities.
- Generate program analytics and reports to management and senior HR to aid decision-making, sharing tools, resources, and best practices for the creation of successful programs.
- May assist in the development of learning and training programs at all levels within the organization.
- Draft communications, reports, and/or presentations as needed.
- May proactively identify prospective value-added People initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field or commensurate experience.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relative human resources experience.
- Experience with organizing and maintaining HR compliance requirements including employee files, job descriptions, background checks, vendor contracts, and benefits related material.
- Experience with developing training and development experiences across organizational levels, a plus.
Knowledge
- Knowledgeable in the application of federal, state, and local regulations including EEO/AAP and employment law such as ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation and COBRA.
- Knowledgeable in HR compliance and reporting requirements.
- Knowledgeable in Benefits Administration including ERISA regulations.
- Knowledgeable in performance management principles and conflict resolution practices.
- Proficient knowledge of data analytics, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators.

License & Certification
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred.

- This position’s schedule is set by the supervisor; primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- May require working additional hours including evenings and weekends based on Museum need.
- Onsite attendance is essential to perform some of the duties of this position.
- Occasional local travel is expected for this position.

Paid-Time Off
Our paid time-off plans include 2 weeks of accrued sick leave and 2 weeks of vacation (80 hours each) per year, 10 paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $97,000 depending on experience.
