- Client & Communication Support: Answer phones and serve as a point of contact for clients, court personnel, and vendors.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Assist with calendar management, including scheduling depositions and meetings with clients and experts.
- Court Filings: Handle federal and state court e-filings with precision and timeliness.
- File Management: Maintain and organize both paper and electronic files.
- Document Preparation: Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Attorney Support: Provide direct support to assigned attorneys, with the ability to step in for others as needed.
- Administrative Assistance: Perform other essential administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent litigation assistant or paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
- Education: Associate’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), electronic calendaring, document management, and .PDF software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong proofreading abilities.
- Court Filing Experience: Solid understanding of filing protocols for both federal and state courts, including e-filing.
- Organization: Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude; ability to work well with attorneys and support staff.
