JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for initiating strategic Human Resources projects that align with the company’s core values, organizational goals, and strategy. Yielding results through consistent feedback and an open-door policy, the HR Manager will work directly with the HR team to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the HR Manager will oversee uniform distribution and inventory management, ensuring that all team members are properly outfitted and that uniforms are returned and tracked during employee separations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a link between management and Team Members, working collaboratively to solve work-related problems.
  • Assist Human Resources Director in ensuring property-wide policy adherence,
  • Conduct internal investigations as need to address reports of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, etc.
  • Drive culture by consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and the BIG Service standards.
  • Maintain continuous improvement of training programs and professional development.
  • Coordinate and assist with Team Member events.
  • Conduct exit interviews, gather and analyze data to identify trends, reporting results to the Human Resources Director.
  • Participate and comply with the annual budget for Human Resources, training, and development.
  • Analyze compensation structure through market research, job analysis and internal organizational structure.
  • Prepare departmental and property compendiums for review by Senior Management.
  • Maintain accurate records of uniform inventory levels.
  • Order new uniforms as needed to ensure adequate supply.
  • Track the distribution of uniforms to team members and ensure that the right sizes and quantities are provided.
  • Track all uniform distribution, maintaining records of each team member’s issued items.
  • Ensure team members are aware of uniform policies and any updates to company guidelines. Manage the return of uniforms from employees during their separation or exit from the company, ensuring all items are returned in good condition.
  • Inspect returned uniforms for damage or wear and document accordingly.
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll departments to ensure proper deductions are made for lost, damaged, or unreturned uniforms.
  • Communicate with the payroll department to ensure uniform-related deductions are reflected in employee paychecks in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain an organized system for tracking uniform assignments, returns, and deductions.
  • Generate inventory reports as needed for management or compliance purposes.
  • The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
  • Assist with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested.
  • Ability to keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.
  • Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team is required.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations.

Education And Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of related Human Resources experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources Management/ HR Business Partner role
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting internal investigations and managing employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and knowledge of federal and state respective laws.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other relevant HR certifications preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Paycor HRIS system a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.
  • Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.

  • Must be able to answer all inquiries and provide assistance and information in a professional and accurate manner.
  • Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted, and it can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
