JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and organized Sports Broadcasting Event Coordinator to manage and curate the sporting events that are broadcasted on televisions throughout our sports bar. This role requires a passion for sports, strong communication skills, and the ability to analyze scheduling and customer preferences to create an engaging atmosphere for guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right events are shown at the right times to enhance the overall guest experience and maximize foot traffic during key sporting moments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and select sporting events to be aired on multiple televisions, considering guest preferences, popular sports, and peak viewing times.
- Work closely with management to ensure that games, matches, and events are scheduled and shown according to demand and promotional opportunities.
- Ensure that all sports programming is running smoothly and make quick adjustments if there are technical issues or changes in event schedules.
- Must be familiar with and capable in operating streaming services such as Rockbot, Musicstyling, Pandora, Apple TV, Roku,etc.
- Interact with patrons to gather feedback on their preferred sporting events and adjust the programming accordingly to improve guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with management to ensure the best viewing experience for customers, including managing sound levels, screen placement, and atmosphere.
- Maintain compliance with broadcasting rights, licenses, and any other regulations regarding sports programming.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of televisions, projectors, and related technology to ensure optimal viewing quality.
- Daily planning and scheduling of audio sources for each casino floor zone and venue throughout property. This shall include identifying appropriate audio sources, volume leveling and manual planning/scheduling.
- Coordination and operation of special event needs, including testing and operating AV equipment including microphones, video cameras and other ancillary devices and components.
- Coordination of needs presented by internal departments, external partners and stakeholders. This includes gathering specific details of needs and timing, engaging relevant internal and external stakeholders and presenting action plans to management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of hardware.
- Knowledge of information systems, technologies, and applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under stressful conditions, make solid decisions, and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to isolate system problems quickly and take proper corrective action.
- Skill in system troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Adhere to additional training as required.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.
- Must be 21years of age or older.
