What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Card Systems Administrator position at The National Bank of Indianapolis?
In collaboration with internal partners, the teammate coordinates process improvements for Credit Card Services, ensuring proper functioning, efficiency, and effective product offerings while providing the highest quality of service to every customer. The teammate analyzes and interprets quantitative data for the credit card system and assists with analysis and system support. The teammate is also responsible for managing fraud cases utilizing vendor's fraud control system. Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with Credit Card Operations Administrator and vendor to ensure proper functioning and accuracy of credit card system operations
- Work with the division manager, other credit card staff, and vendors to ensure effective communications, quality operations, timely implementation of upgrades, and adequate training of staff
- Assist the division manager with strategic oversight of research, planning, design, development and implementation of new credit card servicing products and services, keeping abreast of the full range of capabilities and details of the Bank's credit card systems
- Proactively evaluate, research, plan and implement operational efficiencies, working collaboratively to ensure smooth transitions
- In collaboration with the division manager and the Credit Card Specialist, proactively work to keep fraud losses to a minimum by utilizing fraud alert information to analyze risk potential and take appropriate action in a timely manner
- Serve as departmental leader for report writer software, creating new reports as necessary; provide quality control oversight for system-generated reports to ensure accuracy; collaborate with other Credit Card staff to ensure accurate reports are distributed as appropriate in a timely manner
- Create and maintain documented procedures
- Serve as an internal knowledge expert for credit card system-related questions
- Ensure compliance with Bank policy, procedures and government regulations
- Provide responsive client service to internal Bank customers, and periodically to external clients; work collaboratively to ensure consistent service and support for credit card products
- Provide critical backup for processing applications, changes and payments on credit cards, ensuring that client needs are met accurately and in a timely manner
- Ability to monitor multi-layered system defenses and alerts to maintain a high defense posture. Maintain system integrity across multiple system integrations. Use custom reporting tools to monitor portfolio health from multiple angles
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business or banking, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years of experience with responsibility for operational systems; experience working with vendors to implement system enhancements, writing documentation, and training staff strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures, with demonstrated experience in process improvement
- Knowledge of credit card and/or loan policies and related compliance issues a plus; foundational financial and/or accounting knowledge helpful
- High level of computer proficiency; working knowledge of computer hardware, software systems and networking technologies, advanced skills in Excel recommended
- Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks, switching easily between systems while troubleshooting problems
- Proven ability to manage projects, ensuring appropriate process, documentation, and communication throughout
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, evaluate needs and develop a plan of action
