POSITION SUMMARY:
The Valet Cashier at The National Hotel is an essential part of the guest experience, providing friendly and efficient service while handling valet transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional service while processing valet payments.
- Accurately handle credit card transactions.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workstation, ensuring smooth operations.
- Communicate with valet attendants to ensure timely vehicle retrieval.
- Assist guests with questions regarding parking, hotel services, and local attractions.
- Address any guest concerns or discrepancies with professionalism and efficiency.
- Follow all security procedures to protect hotel assets.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of the English language.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
PHYICAL DEMANDS:
- Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
- Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather. Shifts will not be cancelled due to inclement weather and all associates will be required to attend their scheduled shifts.
REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Comfortable, closed toe, non-skid shoes.
- Must have a clean driving record and be 21 years of age or older.
- With no more than one moving violation over a 2-year period.
- Must pass annual MVR screen.
