Warm, Engaging Family Seeking Loving Nanny in Massachusetts (3–4 Days/Week)
A kind, thoughtful family in Massachusetts is looking for a nurturing and reliable nanny to join their team! They have a sweet 1 year old boy and they will be welcoming a new baby this fall. They are seeking someone who is engaged, communicative, and brings a positive, warm energy to the home.
Finding the right person—someone they can trust and grow with—is their top priority.
Schedule
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: 7:30am–5:30pm or 8:00am–5:30pm
- Days: Ideally 3 days/week (Monday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Friday), but open to 4–5 days/week (30–40 hours/week)
About the Child
The family has a curious 1 year old and are expecting a new baby in the fall. They are seeking someone experienced with infants who can support the child’s development, engage in age-appropriate activities, and provide a nurturing, attentive presence. The home environment is screen-free, creative, and rooted in holistic, nature-based play and exploration. They love to spend time outdoors and prioritize open-ended, imaginative activities that support healthy development and a strong connection to the natural world.
The Ideal Nanny
The family is looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of child development and milestones
- Is confident, trustworthy, and able to take initiative
- Values communication and can be a collaborative part of the family team
- Is dog-friendly (their sweet spaniel may need the occasional walk or trip outside)
- Understands boundaries around food due to a family member’s severe gluten sensitivity
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nanny or private household experience
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Strong understanding of infant development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation (use of personal car required)
- Must be vaccinated (general vaccinations); COVID and flu vaccines preferred
- Non-smoking
- Able to legally work in the US
Duties
- Infant care and engagement
- Bottle prep and feeding
- Light household tasks related to the child (laundry, dishes, toy rotation)
- Occasional dog walking
- Supporting a screen-free environment through outdoor play, arts & crafts, and other creative activities
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $30–$35/hr depending on experience
- Mileage Reimbursement: $0.70/mile
- Guaranteed Hours: 30 OR 40
- PTO: 1 week chosen by nanny, 1 by family
- Sick Time: 1 hour for every 40 hours worked (MA law)
- Paid Holidays: All major federal holidays
