What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOOKKEEPER (Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week) position at The Naz Church?
The Naz is seeking a highly skilled bookkeeper to bring their accounting expertise to our finance department. This role includes responsibilities such as processing accounts payable, entering credit card transactions, recording donations, and maintaining thorough and accurate financial documentation in compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting practices. As a key point of contact for the finance department, the ideal candidate should be customer service-oriented, providing support to staff, faculty, and congregants with financial inquiries and needs. While a degree is not required, candidates must have direct experience and working knowledge of accounts payable/receivable and basic accounting functions. Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams is required. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to Jesus Christ, embody a servant’s attitude, and fully embrace the vision and mission of The Naz. This position requires regular attendance at The Naz and an active commitment to supporting its ministry.
