Education (minimum): A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Experience: Five to seven years of experience with financial reporting and month end close, and financial budgets. Experience in the gaming/wagering industry a plus.

Essential Functions
Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise a Senior accountant, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance.
- Assign tasks and projects to staff, monitor progress, and provide feedback on performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback for professional development.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.). to senior management.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Prepare P&L variance analysis and explanations monthly.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules, including detailed review of any aged reconciling items, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting for audits and tax filings.
- Assists with preparation and coordination of the audit process
