The Northside Law Firm is seeking an experienced, talented, and motivated Paralegal with 1-3 years’ experience preferably in family law. The ideal candidate should possess excellent commitment to client service as well as strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Candidates should also be professional, well-organized, self-motivated, proficient of meeting critical deadlines, and capable of managing multiple complex projects at once. Duties for this position will be performed in person at our office and salary is dependent on experience. This is an in-person position.
The Northside Law Firm is known for its specialization in all family law areas within local and appellate courts. We are a fast-paced, growing firm that is looking to expand our Westfield, Indiana office. A paralegal in our office will not only gain experience within all family law litigation areas, but in the Parenting Coordination, Guardian ad Litem, and Mediation services we also provide.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments
- Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys
- Drafting legal documents such as contracts, depositions, agreements, and pleadings
- Calendaring of client matters, deadlines, and attorney obligations
- E-filing and serving court documents
- Organizing and managing files, documents, and exhibits
- Summarizing depositions, interrogatories and testimony
- Working closely with staff to ensure all client needs are being met
- Photocopy, fax, scan, email, mail, and scheduling service of documents as needed
- Answer phone calls and emails to act as the liaison between clients, witnesses, experts, and counsel
- Schedule initial consultations, perform conflict checks, and record all intake information
Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor’s degree is preferred)
- A minimum experience of two years in a paralegal role
- Investigative mind and strong research skills
- Working knowledge of legal database software
- Experience in preparing legal documents
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
- Positive mindset, hard working, and capability to work closely with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
