What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Aide position at The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska?
This position accepts phone calls, conducts home visits, phone contact for clients. Works alongside Protection and Safety Workers when needed to provide services such as; transportation for clients and children to receive services or for appointments. Provides documentation of contacts in NFOCUS system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Conducts home visits upon request from Protection and Safety Worker.
- Assist Protection and Safety Worker in documentation of any contact made with clients onto NFOCUS.
- Transport clients to appointments when needed.
- Assist Protection and Safety Workers with filing all files.
- Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred high school diploma or GED; must be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Some clerical experience, intake or administrative experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- A valid driver's license and insurable by tribal insurance; OR willing to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
- Must pass a Nebraska Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry and Nebraska Adult Protection Service Central Registry.
- Must be free of any conviction by any State or the United States for a crime punishable by imprisonment in a penitentiary for a term of one (1) year, or more, or by any foreign government for a crime which would be punishable by imprisonment for a term of one year, or more, if committed in Nebraska, or must have been pardoned for such offense, or have had a conviction for offense overturned, or reversed by a court of competent jurisdiction.

- Ability to follow policies & procedures, such as personnel, safety and confidentiality, etc.
