An Assistant Property Manager primarily supports the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of a residential or commercial property, including tasks like tenant communication, coordinating maintenance requests, rent collection, lease renewals, property inspections, marketing vacant units, and managing administrative duties to ensure smooth property management operations; essentially acting as a key support role in maintaining tenant satisfaction and property upkeep.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Tenant Management:
- Responding to tenant inquiries and complaints
- Handling lease renewals and tenant move-outs
- Collecting rent payments and managing late rent collections
- Conducting tenant screenings and application processing
- Maintenance Coordination:
- Receiving and logging maintenance requests
- Scheduling and coordinating repairs with vendors and contractors
- Performing minor repairs as needed
- Inspecting property units and common areas
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintaining tenant files and records
- Generating reports on property occupancy and financial status
- Creating marketing materials for vacant units
- Assisting with lease documentation and paperwork
- Financial Management:
- Tracking property expenses and budgets
- Assisting with rent roll analysis
- Monitoring property income and expenses
- Customer Service:
- Building positive relationships with tenants
- Providing excellent customer service to residents
- Addressing tenant concerns promptly
Required Skills and Qualifications:
