Position Title: Human Resources Assistant

Position Summary
This job will entail a wide variety of Human Resources tasks. Complete payroll. Compile and keep personnel records. Record data for each employee, such as address, weekly earnings, absences, and date and reason for termination. File all employment records. Reconcile and pay monthly bills.
Tasks
· Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
· Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
· Post payroll entries using AccPacc Accounting Software.
· Perform payroll/benefit-related reconciliations to General Ledger and other accounts.
· Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
· Prepare and balance period-end reports, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
· Keep track of vacation time for employees.
· Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
· Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, I-9 documentation, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
· Balance and pay bills related to Human Resources.
· Assist HR department with various research or special projects.
· Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalent Certificate)
· 1 year of payroll experience (preferred)
