Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma; Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous administrative experience
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Google Suite. Experience in PowerSchool is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Possession of or eligibility for appropriate certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- Ability to communicate in American Sign Language – intermediate skill required; advanced skill desired.
- Careful attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Works collaboratively with other Administrative Professionals.
- Highly dependable and flexible.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate calendars/schedule appointments, meeting reminders.
- Greets all incoming visitors and ensures that guests sign in/out as required.
- Receive and refer telephone/VP call as appropriate
- Email and formal correspondence to staff, families, etc.
- E-filing and filing.
- Maintains a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases.
- Process forms and related paperwork
- Planning department events.
- Process and distribute (mail/email) letters and other correspondence
- Provide clerical support for various programs and departments.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Generally works in an office environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms
- Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
