About the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Imaging PCs.
- Moving PC equipment and swapping internal components such as memory and hard drives as required.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, collaborating with Boston-based support teams when necessary.
- Addressing printing and local network issues, including troubleshooting network cables, workstation connectivity, switch malfunctions, and server failures.
- Handling server equipment movement, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Serving as a liaison between New York users and the IT Operations team in Boston.
- Providing training to users on core software applications as needed.
- Troubleshooting video conferencing equipment.
- Coordinating requirements for attorneys traveling internationally.
- Offering document scanning training and support.
- Logging and tracking support issues in the ticketing system.
- Configuring loaner laptops, wireless cards, and mobile devices for employees.
- Maintaining flexibility in work hours for system updates and reboots.
- Ensuring compliance with technology policies and security procedures among New York users.
- Supporting the coordination of key IT initiatives impacting the New York office.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a professional services environment is mandatory.
- Minimum of three years' experience in an IT support role.
- Exceptional customer service mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; proven history of proactively seeking innovative solutions to IT challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at fostering strong relationships with users throughout the office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Expertise in supporting various Windows operating systems, including iManage, ChangePro, Metadact, Innova, Adobe, Nuance, and Mimecast.
- Familiarity with Citrix XenDesktop.
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting video conferencing equipment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
