What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreational Youth Sports Coach (Soccer, Flag Football) position at The Players Sports Academy?
We are looking to bring on a few enthusiastic coaches for the spring season and beyond to work in our after-school sports programs.
Coaches can work as many or as few sessions as they would like but we only want to bring on hardworking and passionate staff that are dedicated to youth development.
Typical Hours of Work: 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM (Session)
2:10 - 3:10 PM (Session)
and/or
3:30 -4:30 PM (Sesssion)
This is a part time job where coaches can work 1 or 2 sessions in a day in a local area.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging soccer and basketball training sessions for youth participants.
- Teach fundamental skills and techniques while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games.
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance players' performance and confidence.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching / teaching, particularly in soccer and basketball is a plus
- Additional skills in other sports are beneficial
- Ability to engage and motivate youth in a recreational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive team environment
