What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Lead position at The Popcorn Factory?
The Sanitation Lead is responsible for maintaining a clean production area by completing a variety of cleaning tasks by performing the following duties:
- Perform Titration Checks and document readings daily.
- Fills in other responsibilities due to staff shortages for example: Cleaning of lines.
- Follow all safety procedures, report all safety issues to immediate supervisor, use safety gear as required. Do verification of the team for safety PPE and log information
- Assist supervisor in doing daily shift huddles.
- Responsible for the cleaning and sanitization of catch pans, bucket conveyor systems, utensils, walls, ceilings, floors, pipes, kettles, top of equipment's, and other areas used in the manufacturing of food considering food safety.
- Complete all necessary tasks required by Sanitarian
- Reports damaged product-contact parts, utensils and/or equipment to a supervisor.
- Maintain all equipment cleaned by the Sanitation department and covering of equipment when not in use.
- Follow all GMPs.
- Empty all trash, and product waste green containers after 3rd shift cleaning is done.
- Follow and ensure that all employees follow company guidelines regarding occupational safety OSHA including wearing appropriate PPE and following LOTO.
- Report any hazards or concerns to sanitation supervisor.
- Complete Preoperational inspections with Quality employees
- Collaborate with the Sanitation Supervisor to assist in additional duties.
The expected salary for this position is $23/hour. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
Requirements:- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years of Sanitation experience required
- Bilingual Preferred
- Effective communication skills, including basic writing skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills Able to work independently or with other
- Team oriented
