Essential Functions
- Works with Nurse Managers and Supervisory staff in the development and implementation of master schedules for nursing staff.
- Provides adequate staffing coverage through use of part-time employees, in-house registry personnel, assigning overtime shifts, and, as a last resort, agency personnel.
- Maintains attendance records on all Nursing Department employees.
- Completes time cards and payroll reports and submits them to the accounting department at the end of each pay period.
- Processes nursing staff and change forms related to hiring, termination, vacation requests, sick time records and personnel changes.
- Maintains files on all Nursing Department employees of McGaw Care Center.
- Acts as liaison between Nursing Department and Payroll and the Human Resources Department.
- Conducts special projects as assigned by Administrator of Health Service
- Assumes responsibility for own professional development.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree recommended but not essential. High school diploma required.
- Experience in managing systems. Computer experience essential.
- Must possess good verbal and written skills and ability to function in stressful situations.
