Accounts Receivable Associate - Real Estate
Leading Residential Owner, Operator, and Developer is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join its team. This role will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely rent collection, reconciling tenant accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records within Yardi Voyager.
Responsibilities:
- Process and post rent payments, security deposits, and other receivables accurately in Yardi Voyager.
- Monitor tenant accounts to ensure timely rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Process move-ins and move-outs in Yardi.
- Prepare tenant refunds and lease renewals in Yardi
- Generate and distribute monthly rent statements and delinquency notices.
- Work with property managers and tenants to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of tenant ledgers, payment histories, and adjustments.
- Assist in month-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts and generating financial reports.
- Coordinate with legal teams on collections and eviction processes when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, lease agreements, and local/state regulations related to rent collection.
- Support audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency in receivables management.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in residential real estate/property management.
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is required.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles and property accounting practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with tenants and property managers.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
