What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dry Order Selector position at The Regional Food Bank?
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.
Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require the safe use of a power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance.
Position Summary: Responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate selection of products to fulfill agency orders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Selects products according to specific orders.
2. Safely builds pallets of products for delivery and pickup.
3. Labels and organizes product on pallets.
4. Reports and repairs any damaged goods.
5. Reports any missing pallet inventory tags.
6. Reports any inventory inaccuracies.
7. Uses handheld inventory scanner to take inventory.
8. Monitors assigned area for pest activities.
9. Assists with monthly and annual inventory counts.
10. Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
11. Inspects power equipment prior to use.
12. Follows all safety standards and procedures.
13. Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
14. Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
