From our humble beginnings as a gathering of parents and concerned citizens who wanted to provide educational and training opportunities for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities, The Resource Center has grown into a comprehensive agency providing services to thousands of persons with all types and levels of disabilities.
The Resource Center is the largest non-governmental employer in Chautauqua County with more than 1,300 employees on its payroll.

MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST III
RESPONSIBLE TO: Facilities Maintenance Manager
FUNCTION:
Ability to effectively perform work in the following trades: electrical, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, plumbing, fire alarm systems and general maintenance with a high degree of proficiency.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Electrical: All duties of Maintenance Specialist II, plus troubleshooting, demonstrated ability to tie in circuits to live panel, demonstrated knowledge of code.
2. HVAC and Boiler: All duties of Maintenance Specialist II, plus troubleshooting, replacement of components, charge system.
3. Construction: All duties of Maintenance Specialist II, plus roofing, siding, foundation work, drop ceilings, installation of walls, windows, and doors.
4. Appliance: All duties of Maintenance Specialist II, plus troubleshooting, demonstrated ability to replace components.
5. Plumbing: All duties of Maintenance Specialist II, plus troubleshooting, demonstrated ability to replace fixtures, hot water tanks.
6. Fire Alarm Systems: Troubleshooting, replace smoke heads, heat detectors, door magnets and inspect panels and systems.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the job. Must demonstrate proficiency by passing the competency test, which includes a written exam.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four (4) years experience in the above-stated fields OR a license in one or more fields. Experience in a multi-location and diversified maintenance setting preferred. A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier is required.
