What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising Assistant position at The Room Place?
Description:
The Merchandising Assistant performs regular sku / item creation and/or maintenance updates to support product introduction, item/package integrity, merchandise transfers and Merchandising bulletins/correspondences. Also plays a role in setup and execution of weekly promotions and store signage.
Responsibilities:
Creates all skuing and package set up in Storis, including special orders.
Match vendor acknowledgements to Po’s, verify cost, quantity, description, delivery date, and terms. Work with A/P on invoice discrepancies.
Update lead times, freight, cost, and retail pricing.
Responsible for Closeout items; loading price adjustments into Storis.
Initiate, monitor & maintain floor sample/photo studio and store transfers to ensure proper and timely flow of merchandise to each store and ensure transfers initiated by merchandising are fulfilled.
Responsible for uploading features and benefits to Share point.
Responsible for updating monthly introduction list for new product date maintenance.
Distributes various store directed reports/bulletins meeting the weekly deadlines.
Prepares Advertised pricing for weekly promotions and sends advertised floor signs to stores.
Responsible for Sign request emails; verifying and correcting where needed.
Create, maintain, and follow up on Direct Ship Purchase Orders (DPTO) including po date accuracy, and creation of needed skus.
Performs additional duties as required or requested.
