Key Responsibilities
- Arrange engaging activities for children
- Oversee staff performance and provide guidance when needed
- Handle discipline problems in a fair and constructive manner
- Prepare schedules and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Transport children to school safely
- Collect fees and maintain accurate payment records
- Report any issues or concerns to management
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Attend meetings and collaborate with other departments
- Organize Bible activities and promote spiritual growth
Essential Qualifications
- Must be on-site during morning and afternoon hours, including in-service days
- Meet Michigan Family Independence Agency guidelines for Childcare Center Care Givers
- Exhibit a desire to provide a consistent quality program for grade-school age children
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Two years or more of childcare experience
Skills and Knowledge
- Basic bookkeeping skills to maintain payment records
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
Certificates and Licenses
- Complete Safe From Harm training
- Valid chauffeur's license and pass Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
