Program Manager for Youth Development

Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager for Youth Development to oversee daily operations of our program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to manage activities, supervise staff, and assist with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange engaging activities for children
• Oversee staff performance and provide guidance when needed
• Handle discipline problems in a fair and constructive manner
• Prepare schedules and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Transport children to school safely
• Collect fees and maintain accurate payment records
• Report any issues or concerns to management
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Attend meetings and collaborate with other departments
• Organize Bible activities and promote spiritual growth

Essential Qualifications

• Must be on-site during morning and afternoon hours, including in-service days
• Meet Michigan Family Independence Agency guidelines for Childcare Center Care Givers
• Exhibit a desire to provide a consistent quality program for grade-school age children

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Two years or more of childcare experience

Skills and Knowledge

• Basic bookkeeping skills to maintain payment records
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint

Certificates and Licenses

• Complete Safe From Harm training
• Valid chauffeur's license and pass Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
