About this opportunity : The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Camp Music Conservatory Senior Music and Arts Instructor for the Arkansas and Oklahoma Conservatory of Music and Arts, located in Welling, OK. This is a summer position at Camp Heart O’ Hills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Promote a safe and stimulating learning environment for students that facilitates personal, artistic, and spiritual growth.
- Serve as the main instructor in a major or minor area or assist Studio Coordinators and conservatory directors.
- Teach private lessons focusing on technique and repertoire, preparing students for recitals.
- Teach a music theory class and participate in a chorus.
- Attend staff meetings, Bible Studies, worship services, night programs, and Evensong.
- Create lesson plans, schedule private lessons, grade assignments, and monitor student progress.
- Maintain equipment and instruments, and ensure compliance with camp rules and regulations.
- Participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Conservatory Director.
