Facilitates onboarding sessions for all staff members and ensures that all necessary documentation is accurate and in place for hiring. Works to maintain the integrity of the processes and that the processes are efficient and seamless for all employees, including those employees transitioning into new roles and classifications. Works directly with many employees from the time they onboard to the end of their service with the School District of Philadelphia. Maintains all employee records in accordance with District policies and procedures.
- Communicates with candidates at various stages of the process and provides next steps; e-mails all hires after offer letters are signed and submitted and provides the welcome to the School District of Philadelphia communication; follows up with all new hires regarding onboarding status on a weekly basis.
- Manages all aspects of onboarding sessions including sign up, facilitation and process management to ensure that new hires are cleared to work in a reasonable timeframe.
- Completes all HRIS entry for all classifications of employees including new hires, reclassified employees and those employees receiving salary changes or status changes; processes offer letters for new and reclassified positions.
- Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database for employee information and serves as the primary point of contact for all employee transactions.
- Manages all employee records and batches records completely and in a timely manner; reviews records and provides the necessary information for auditing requests.
- Provides human resources support for all employees for name changes, resignations, FMLA, payroll issues, site selection, special assignments and other issues.
- Builds positive and productive relationships with all employees.
- Implements and manages the exit survey process.
- Processes job requisitions for Central Office positions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of full-time, paid, professional experience in human resources, recruitment, and/or admissions/selection.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
