Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the Superintendent in overseeing the daily operations of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape management, tree care, and irrigation systems, along with excellent leadership skills to supervise a team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in planning and executing landscape maintenance programs, including lawn care, garden upkeep, and tree care.
- Supervise groundskeeping staff to ensure high-quality maintenance of all landscaped areas.
- Oversee irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage and proper functioning.
- Maintain equipment and tools used for landscape maintenance, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations related to landscaping operations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in landscape maintenance and care.Turf grass upkeep and maintenance
- Ensuring healthy growth of golf course grasses
- Supervise and schedule maintenance
- Train and supervise Golf Course Maintenance staff to ensure efficiency and safety

- Participate in educational opportunities such as seminars, workshops, field days and trade shows
- Assist with scheduling and maintenance of irrigation systems and pesticide applications
