Naples Outreach Manager – The Shelter for Abused Women & Children

Organization: The Shelter for Abused Women & Children 

Location: Onsite @ Naples Shelter location 

Reports to: Chief Programs Officer    Employment Type: Fulltime, Exempt 

Salary: Determined based on experience, local wages, and nonprofit industry rates.

 

 The Impact of This Position:

The Naples Outreach Manager leads impactful programs that support survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. You will guide a dedicated team of nine advocates, providing crisis counseling, advocacy, and support services for survivors.

 

Non-Negotiables:

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience managing a team or equivalent experience; Master’s degree and nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Valid FL Driver’s License.
  • Must pass state & federal background checks, provide satisfactory references, and drug screening.
  • Successful completion of The Shelter’s Core Competency training upon hire.
  • Completion of first aid and CPR class.
  • Proof of COVID19 vaccinations or exemption.

What You’ll Do:

  • Advocate for participants with community agencies to build a robust support network.
  • Build and strengthen community partnerships and identify new outreach opportunities.
  • Collaborate with The Shelter’s Program Managers to oversee participant case management.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly audits on participant files.
  • Coordinate and document services for program participants.
  • Embrace and emulate the empowerment advocacy philosophy.
  • Encourage staff involvement in decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Children and Families Program Standards and grant requirements.
  • Manage and track programmatic deliverables and team performance indicators.
  • Manage time, projects, and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Offer crisis de-escalation and trauma-informed support, as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor outreach staff, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and professional growth.
