What are the responsibilities and job description for the MJ The Musical Sales Development Representative position at The Shubert Organization?
SALARY: $25 - $35 / hr
SCHEDULED HOURS: PT 20 hrs/week, business hours with flexible scheduled hours
DURATION: Six months, with possible extension
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Strategizing and executing grass roots sales outreach for MJ the musical on Researching affinity groups and organizations for solicitation Building prospective market and specific client lists Outbound sales via phone and In person sales as assigned, including events and tradeshows Monitoring partner web sites actively selling MJ for accuracy and effectiveness Provide sales and customer service support to groups Communicate with box office, MJ marketing team and other vendors and partners
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be a self-starter and strong independent worker able to take initiative without much direction as well as a team player who fosters teamwork in a high-performance Must have excellent inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal). Prior sales/customer service required; group sales and/or ticketing experience exceptional sales and customer service skills Strong interest in theatre and knowledge of New York City a Proficiency with Microsoft
