Position Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Property Manager to oversee the
daily operations of our properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
property management, and excellent communication skills. This role involves managing
tenant and owner relations, property maintenance, leasing, and ensuring compliance
with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations:
Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct property showings and manage lease agreements.
- Facilitate tenant move-ins and move-outs, including inspections and documentation.
- Provide on-call tenant assistance on a rotating basis.
Property Maintenance:
- Oversee regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
Financial Management:
- Handle delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies.
- Generate financial reports and provide regular updates to property owners.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations affecting property management.
- Ensure properties comply with all relevant health, safety, and building codes.
- Handle legal issues related to property management, such as evictions and disputes, in coordination with legal counsel.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of property operations, including tenant files, maintenance logs, and financial documents.
- Utilize property management software to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Prepare detailed reports for property owners and the management team.
Scheduling Note:
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address after-hours client or team needs. This position requires rotating on-call duties, typically 1 week every 5-6 weeks.
Requirements:
Experience in property management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and
procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in property management software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Experience with Appfolio a plus
