Job Summary
The Engagement Specialist plays an important role in building trust and enhancing engagement within our commuter community. This position involves collaborating with various team members to promote initiatives, manage outreach and data collection, and support creation of best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong face-to-face communication skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to leverage strong intuition to enhance outreach efforts.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with co-workers to strategize for and collection of maximum completion of surveys of bus riders .
- Conduct public speaking to bus and one-on-one with riders to ask them if they'd like to complete the survey.
- Manage data collection by helping riders with questions about the surveys and safeguarding completed surveys for return
Requirements
- Proven experience in public speaking, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with riding the bus preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in survey collection or customer service.
- Strong ability to work in teams and utilize solution-oriented decision making skills.
- Ability to develop training programs that enhance volunteer skills and knowledge.
- Proficient in social media management to promote initiatives and engage the community. -Bilingual candidates with a prficiency in English and Ability to speak Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, Somali, Tigrina or Amharic preferred but not required.
