This position is in Customer Relations/Income Tax and administers the processes that are specific to electronic commerce and taxation. Educates customers in person, by phone, or by e-mail of applicable laws, policies, procedures, services and resources. Maintains and regulates the data and account information that is necessary to enable customers to electronically file tax returns and to make payments. Interacts with customers, internally and externally, providing administrative and basic technical support for electronic funds transfer, online systems, and other related electronic processes. Provide customers with information regarding status of records, tax returns or other transactions. Provide guidance on options to correct deficiencies, problems or errors. Maintains the registration databases that are specific to the online systems and electronic funds transfer processes. This monitors required customer participation in the electronic filing and payment programs. Performs account management on moderately complex accounts involving homestead, individual income tax, fiduciary and use tax. Review discrepancies and adjustment letter responses. Review waiver requests and process refunds. Makes adjustments for exceptions on original returns and claims.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of KDOR Tax Processing Systems, ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, identify and analyze problems, evaluate solutions and implement. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Preferred Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, proofreading, editing, and attention to detail.
