STA GAMING TECHNICIAN TRAINEE

Summary:

As the Gaming Technician Trainee, you will gain practical experience and knowledge in the repairs and maintenance of all slot machines, slot systems, and related equipment within the department to ensure optimal operation. You will gain competency and proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while following safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, maintain, inspecting and assist with removal of slot machines and related gaming equipment
• Learn different types of gaming machines, their functionalities and troubleshoot techniques from hands-on experience and from the guidance from gaming technicians
• Assist gaming technicians with identifying and troubleshoot issues to determine game functionality
• Assist with replacement of power supplies, bill readers, printers, reel units, handles, and pull CPU boards
• Accurately record problems, repairs and maintenance that are performed on gaming machines
• Effectively communicate with management and gaming technicians to address issues, training, procedures, etc.
• Make electronic repairs and perform other work in accordance with the union contract
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working calmly and professionally in busy work environment while effectively multitasking
• Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Experience performing job functions in a timely manner with minimal and/or no supervision
• Ability to operate equipment such as basic tools, two-way radios and any other specific tools are required of the trade
• Ability to operate computer equipment
• Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Accurate money handling and documentation skills
• Excellent guest service skills
• Present a professional appearance
• Proven experience providing high level of guest service
• Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States
