- Oversee customer quotation requests, including :
- Extensive contract review. Accountable for ensuring that all customer requirements are understood and will be met prior to acceptance of new purchase order or contract.
- Ensure that correct revisions and specifications are available for government contracting – retrieve or download from government site supporting documentation. File and monitor post award requests through gov’t site on contracts which require corrections, clarification or have missing / incomplete information.
- Manage Risk Assessment (quotation and contract level). Determine potential companywide impacts with Management Team regarding customer mandated requirements, promise dates, quality clauses, lead times, equipment and material availability and production capacity.
- Responsible for control of documenting Risk through internal system risk module when high risk requires mitigation.
- Track and report weekly on Sales Department KPI’s during 360 meetings.
- High level of customer interaction. Phone conferences, in person customer visits, attend industry conferences or conventions as applicable to solicit new business and grow existing customer base. Create and maintain new customer accounts.
- Monthly review of customer surveys sent to ensure high level of customer satisfaction is met. Follow up with customers who may have negative responses to address and correct any concerns or issues which caused negative feedback.
- Ensure compliance is understood and met for ITAR, export classification and control. Maintain certification with US Export Control Compliance.
- Authorizes product returns for customer complaints of non-compliance, product testing and internal investigation. Maintain internal database for tracking, monitoring and analyzing causes for returned product – prevent trend or repeat occurrences. Work closely with quality department to address and complete customer and HF CARs as applicable.
- Attend and contribute to weekly production meetings. Discuss current and future status of jobs running in facility and planned for upcoming production. Offer input and suggestions to analyze and address potential delays or setbacks to scheduled dates to ensure that customer requirements are met for delivery. Determine recovery plans for production that has fallen short of anticipated completion dates. Convey contingency plans to customer as applicable.
- Work closely with accounting department to ensure daily invoicing activities are accurate and kept up to date.
- Extensive understanding of AS9100D and NADCAP requirements as needed to support customer service and sales functions. Participate in regulatory audits (AS9100D, Nadcap) yearly or as scheduled / needed by regulatory authority to maintain certification.
- Collect, analyze, and report to internal audit team on department and company KPI’s. Help to create and implement actions necessary to make certain that internal company goals for customer satisfaction are maintained and exceeded.
- Manage and supervise Sales Team, including inside Sales Rep, Customer Service Rep, and Estimators preparing quotes.
- Work closely with Site Leader, Outside Sales Team and Corporate Executives on strategic initiatives, planning, and opportunities to grow the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Masters’ Degree preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace sales management role.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in open office environment.
- Strong problem solving / analytical skills.
- Ability to work closely with General Manager, Operations, Controller, and Management Team.
- Experience Building, Collaborating, Motivating, Innovating and Leading Continuous Improvement Measures.
- Positive attitude and high energy level to meet the demands of a growing aerospace company.
- Experience with EPICOR ERP System, POWER BI, and Sales Force software programs a plus.
Job duties
Responsible to download government solicitations and upload quotes / bids through DIBBS and ALICORP portals. Review and manage all commercial request for quotes. Receive and input corresponding contracts / purchase orders.
Includes in depth analysis of customer purchase order terms and conditions, quality notes or clauses, product and contractual requirements. Review of any applicable outside clauses, flow down requirements, customer terms, frozen processes, regulatory requirements, compliance to supplier approved processing vendors etc. Confirm all reference documents are available and complete review is performed for each item applicable.
Including revenue by part category, bookings, book to bill, win / loss rates, NPI’s, OTD, Pricing Gains, gross margin, and customer rejections.
Minimum Requirements :
Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
