Manufacturing Engineering Manager
- Equipment Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure the reliability and uptime of production equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- New Product Manufacturing Implementation: Responsible for working with Product Development Engineers launching new products to develop efficient manufacturing processes and purchase/creation/installation of any necessary equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Establish preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to proactively identify and address potential equipment issues before they impact production.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve equipment failures in a timely manner, coordinating with maintenance technicians and external vendors as needed.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance.
- Spare Parts Management: Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes to ensure availability of critical components and minimize equipment downtime.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and capabilities in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to established procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains, driving alignment and continuous improvement efforts.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets for equipment maintenance, optimizing spending to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor equipment reliability and performance, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on equipment maintenance and reliability.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, with expertise in troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with PLC/Ladder Logic programming and troubleshooting is a must.
- Proven leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
