Tire Rack is looking for an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead its Sparks, NV operation. Family-owned and headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, Tire Rack is America’s largest independent tire tester and consumer-direct source for tires, wheels and performance accessories. Since 1979, we have grown from a single-point retail store to encompass over 2.5 million square feet in 11 distribution centers across the country.

Responsibilities:
- Interview, select, and retain office, warehouse, and supervisory personnel
- Follow and administer all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe workplace and build robust relationships with employees
- Train employees on equipment operation, warehouse practices, and product identification
- Direct the activities of others engaged in clerical, receiving, storing, picking, and shipping operations
- Motivate, coach, support, and discipline employees to achieve individual and facility performance metrics
- Evaluate employee job performance and compensation annually
- Schedule with suppliers and organize receiving appointments
- Ensure accuracy of inventory at all times
- Communicate requirements with carriers and monitor shipment of completed orders each day
- Oversee physical assets of the company including equipment, building maintenance, and security
- Respond to customer questions regarding distribution services
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5-years of proven, successful management experience in Tire Distribution or Operations
- Outstanding leadership qualities and ethical conduct
- Hands-on warehouse experience and extensive product knowledge
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with AS400 and Warehouse Management Systems
- Able to operate all necessary equipment
- Physically capable of frequent bending with ability to move at least 80 lbs.
