This is a safety sensitive position in the Public Works Department performing semi-skilled manual tasks and operating automotive and maintenance equipment to perform winter road maintenance and snow/ice removal duties. This position will be an on-call or as needed basis throughout the winter months only, typically October through April.

A valid Colorado Commercial Driver License Class B, with air brakes and tanker endorsements is preferred. Must have had a valid driver’s license for at least two (2) years with a good driving record.
In lieu of a CDL, two (2) years of good driving history and snow removal experience will be considered.
Two (2) seasons of snow removal experience with a municipal agency is preferred, but not required as training will be provided.
A combination of education and experience to provide for the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The ability to work twelve (12) hour shifts during emergency conditions on short notice.
Working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques and supplies used in snow removal.
Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time, outside and in all weather conditions.
Ability to identify and implement risk management techniques to reduce exposure to injury, damage, and liability.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and report operations both verbally or in written form.
Ability to coordinate activities with other individuals within the Public Works Department and interact successfully with individuals from other agencies, organizations.Part-time and Seasonal Town of Parker employees have limited access to benefits which include: employee assistance program (EAP), one (1) hour of sick time accrued for every thirty (30) hours worked, and employee plus one (1) other member in your household a membership to the Parker Recreation Center and/or Fieldhouse. Hiring pay range is: $21.60 - $25.38/hr.
Full pay range is: $21.60 - $29.16/hr.
The 2024-2025 winter season runs from October 14, 2024-April 10, 2025.
