Position Information:
As a financial planner and a tax advisor, you will be responsible for creating and recommending comprehensive written lifetime financial and tax strategies for these clients for multiple annual progress meetings. The ability to WOW the client at each meeting is a must.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Writing a tailored financial and tax draft plan for review, ensuring that the client’s information and documents have been updated, reviewed, analyzed and include all action items.
- Communication of all major concerns, gaps, and opportunities regarding the clients’ financial situation and how they can more efficiently fund and save for their financial goals. This includes tax planning, capital projection analysis for all the goals and explaining the feasibility of achieving the same while staying on course and/or by adjusting behavior, savings strategy, income, retirement age, and any other factor that can impact the plan.
Position Key Skills:
- Proven ability to create and maintain a comprehensive written lifetime financial strategy and tax strategy.
- Be well versed in all aspects of financial planning; Financial Status, Risk Management and Insurance, Benefits, Investments, Taxes, Retirement, Estate Planning, Business Ownership, Education Planning & Other Considerations.
- Experience creating recommendations based on clients’ current financial situations including strategies to cover gaps, decrease tax liability and protect assets.
- Experience creating planning scenarios to reflect current progress towards goals and recommend improvement by adjusting strategy.
- Ability to develop funding strategy for clients’ goals.
- Experience in providing detailed analysis of clients’ transactions in selling real estate, purchasing assets, selling business, etc. This includes tax ramifications/liabilities.
- Proven ability to review clients and prospects portfolios and provide analysis to address risks, asset mix, risk tolerance, tax liabilities and growth aspects of portfolio.
- CFP or ChFC and CPA certification

Position Duties:
○ Create and maintain comprehensive written lifetime financial strategy and tax strategy for all clients’ households.
- Create recommendations based on clients’ current financial situations to cover gaps and protect assets.
- Update clients’ financial/tax strategies to reflect the most current info.
- Create planning scenarios to reflect current progress towards goals and recommend improvement by adjusting the strategies.
- Develop funding plans and assess tax liability for clients’ goals.
- Provide detailed analysis (including tax liabilities) of the transactions of clients - selling real estate, purchasing assets, selling business, etc.
- Review clients’ and prospects’ portfolios and provide analysis to address risks, tax liabilities, opportunities to asset mix, risk tolerance and growth aspects of portfolios.
- Build comprehensive Financial/Tax Draft Strategies for prospects and communicate all major observations and recommendations to the team via draft template.
○ Prior to progress meetings - Create Greatest Probability Strategies documents for clients which outline step-by-step implementation plans of action.
- Review uploaded documents, creating planning notes and other appointment prep materials.
- Track progress via Progress Reports for clients and communicating observations, concerns, opportunities to TA.
○ Collaborate with other clients’ teams of professionals such as Estate Attorneys, CPAs, Insurance Brokers & Money Managers to coordinate and execute opportunities within their financial situation.
○ Evaluate various software and provide feedback to team members on existing software products used and recommendations on how to improve the use of these products.
