What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor Counselor position at The University of Akron?
Essential Functions :
Monitor students to and from class, during lunch and recreational periods.
Physical Requirements :
Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.
Working Conditions :
Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions and / or minor heating / cooling or ventilation problems. Near continuous use (>
70% of the time) of a video display terminal.
Additional Position Information :
Education : 1 year of college with good academic standing and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Experience : Experience working with low-income first-generation students preferred.
Compensation : $15.00 hour
