University of Iowa Health Care is excited to offer an opportunity for a nurse leader to join our team. We are looking for a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Prep/Recovery Team. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide both managerial and clinical leadership, ensuring that all staff deliver safe clinical care and have the necessary education, methods, and resources to meet their performance goals.
Interface with administrative and clinical nursing staff to provide clinical leadership in improving and maintaining the delivery of care processes for the ASC and to assume delegated responsibility for the implementation of daily operations for the ASC.

Mimimum Eligibility Requirements:
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required
- Current License to practice registered nursing in Iowa is required.
- 3-5 years current experience in clinical practice required.
- Six months - 1 year current experience in leadership role or activities required.
- Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environmnet where people of all backgrounds and persepectives feel welcomed and appreciated; or demonstrated the ability to do so.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Leadership experience in an Ambulatory Surgery environment is highly desirable.
- Certification is specialty (CAPA, CPAN)
- Current ACLS, PALS certification desired or completion within 3 months of employment is required.
