POSITION SUMMARY: The Division of Student Life; Iowa Memorial Union is seeking a Temporary - Custodian I to be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the Iowa Memorial Union
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
- Cleaning public study/dining corridor and lobby space and meeting room space
- Entrance, stairwell, restroom, office, and elevator cleaning
- Snow shoveling of entrances
- Project work as assigned which may include cleaning upholstery, carpet extraction, and floor refinishing
- Use of commercial cleaning equipment
- Stock supply carts when necessary
- Report and communicate repair needs for building and equipment
- Check email and complete online trainings
POSITION BASICS:
Hourly Rate/Range: $16.97
WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours: Weekday and weekend hours can be flexible on approval.
Work Week: May work occasional weekends
Additional Hours: May work occasional hours to cover absences and peak periods of operation
