Job Summary
The School of Nursing Administrative Assistant III coordinates activities and/or provides administrative support which requires an understanding of complex processes, data, and/or operations of a department. This position creates and/or maintains associated documents, spreadsheets, and databases, arranges/coordinates meetings, special events; updates supervisor of critical issues/events; provides detailed responses to requests for information; reviews and updates administrative procedures; and prepares and files required metrics and regulatory reports.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Support department as needed including scheduling meetings, assisting/creating reports, conducting research, originating and processing eForms, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and specialized software.
- Extensive use of spreadsheets for forecasting and budget management.
- Review documents, records, or applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with rules.
- Type, proofread, and edit content of documents and presentation materials using broad-based software skills.
- Compose, sign, and release correspondence on behalf of SON.
- Provide information and high-level general assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and committees as required.
- Utilize University systems in preparation of reports and documents and assist with departmental reports and assessment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience

Five (5) years of related experience.
- May accept a combination of experience and education.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Forecasting and budget management experience.
- PeopleSoft experience.
- Database experience.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
