Position Overview:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works with gaming operations to maximize drop/handle/win and bottom line margins.
- Focuses on Asian customer productivity in Hong Kong, Taiwan, California/Domestic, Canada, Pacific Rim and Japan markets.
- Periodically reviews all business practices to ensure strategic and cost effectiveness
- Sets and maintains high standards of service and practices throughout the property.
- Identifies training needs, initiates and reviews training and re-training activities. Personally runs programs as necessary.
- Works closely with Executive Director International Marketing to maintain positive working environment, accountability, adherence to GCB policy, and performance effectiveness.
- Responds to customer requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and complete manner.
- Holds routine staff meetings, coffee talks, and annual performance reviews.
- Works proactively with other departments within marketing and with other divisions at The Venetian Resort.
- Focuses on team member acquisition and retention program to include benefits, communication, compensation, and incentive program individually as needed.
- Balances the need for financial control with need to remain consistent with The Venetian Resort’s standards and values.
- Effectively develops and manages Strategic Plan and Budget as a "roadmap" in achieving marketing goals.
- Clearly communicates daily the goals to be achieved in marketing by all subordinates.
- Diligently focuses on customer development (new and existing) including prospecting, promotions, events, and additional customer relationship management activity.
- Establish marketing foothold in Asian countries through travel and marketing campaigns. Work closely with Macao properties to promote customer development and brand synergy.
- Assists with collections and player management
- Drives implementation and utilization of premium amenities and services: aircraft, premium suites, baccarat salon, limo/phantom.
- Monitors development and productivity of all Asian independent reps and branch offices.
- Develops travel/event program for visiting and prospecting guests, and related customer incentive programs to build customer loyalty and repeat trips.
- Analyzes and responds appropriately to issues raised by team member surveys.
- Develops relationships with US Visa consulates to assist customers with travel.
- Is continuously aware of current and forecast financial/business performance and is actively involved in analyzing and implementing required changes.
- Ensures that Asian Marketing operation complies with current operating criteria/policies and procedures.
- Continuously stays informed of applicable international marketing trends.
- Initiates revenue recovery program when needed with regards to hosts, special events, and direct marketing efforts.
- Focuses on driving host productivity through telemarketing, theo production, trips booked, new customer development, profitability, and event contribution.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 7 years of international marketing experience in the hospitality and or travel/tourism industry required. Experience with a 4 star/diamond property preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
