Job title: Office Administrator

Salary Range: $18.00 - $30.00
Key Responsibilities:
- This individual will be responsible for providing support to the Village administrative office which houses the Municipal Manager, Finance Department, Code Enforcement, and Clerk of Council.
- Providing customer service and greeting visitors and residences for the Village Administrative offices.
- Perform filing duties for Municipal Manager (includes building and zoning documents), Finance Department.
- Collects cash transactions related to various departments; issues receipts to payees.
- Notifying the appropriate Village Staff of visitor arrival, maintains security of the building and telecommunications system.
- Manage centralized purchasing system.
- Prepare correspondence and documents by request.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, department heads and members of Council.
- Support the special events within the Village as assigned by the Village Manager.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications/Education/Training Required: High School Diploma required; Associates’ Degree in Business or Accounting from an accredited university or a related field of study preferred; requires 2 to 5 years of demonstrable Administrative experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Government structure and process; bookkeeping practices and procedures; office practices and procedures; safety practices and procedures; English grammar and spelling; records management.
- Typing; data entry; word processing; computer operation; computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, UAN (Uniform Accounting Network), software to maintain/monitor websites and social media etc.).
- Carry out instructions in written, oral, or picture form; exercise independent judgment and discretion; read, copy, and record figures accurately; add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers; copy records precisely without error; prepare accurate documentation; compile and prepare reports; respond to routine inquiries from public and/or officials; communicate effectively; understand a variety of written and/or verbal communication; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public; extensive internet research abilities; maintain records according to established procedures; develop and maintain effective working relationships; resolve complaints.
