Description
The Village School of Naples accepts applications for Middle/Upper School Substitute Teachers on an ongoing basis. Applications will remain on file and reviewed only when there is a need. This is a temporary position on an on-call and as-needed basis.
The Middle/Upper School Substitute Teacher is responsible for supervising the education of students in his/her classroom as assigned, in Sixth through Twelfth Grades.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All teachers must have at least a four year degree, preferably in education and in the area to be taught. Teachers must demonstrate a strong support for the stated learning philosophy of The Village School. Understanding of 21st century classroom practices and interdisciplinary connections is required. Spoken and written language skills must be strong and representative of an educated professional. Technology skills must be strong and representative of an educated professional. Technology skills are required to both teach students in the classroom, as well as to maintain records and communications. Teachers must be able to articulate their faith and support the school’s Christian environment. Physically, the position of teacher requires sitting, walking, and standing.
