What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Profit Fundraiser position at The Village?
Position Details:
The Non-Profit Fundraiser will successfully contribute to the financial growth of The Village through events, campaigns, and securing grants and other funding. The fundraiser in this position will maintain a strong network of donors and resources, and will manage data and reports.
Tasks & Responsibilities: Key functions may include the following. Other duties may be required.
Utilize established connections and cultivate relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, government entities, and other stakeholders in order to secure commitments of sponsorship, participation, and donations for campaigns and events.
Construct proposals, communications, print materials, web site, and social media content.
Research and identify new funding sources.
Keep track of budgets, funding sources, data related to contributions, required reports, and progress against established goals.
Advocate for The Village to spread community awareness of the agency and its impact.
Recruit and manage volunteers and their activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent problem-solver with the ability to establish and maintain relationships.
Ability to create attractive and engaging content to promote agency awareness.
Must have experience in writing grants, proposals, and other fundraising communications.
Ability to get buy-in from potential donors, funders, and contributors.
Proficient with MS Products, Google Drive, data management and donor software.
Knowledge of fundraising best practices and compliance regulations.
Must have excellent communication and people skills with ability to lead and engage.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Non-Profit Management or related.
At least three years of demonstrated success in fundraising, sales, or marketing
