Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Chef/Cook to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and adaptable individual to contribute to the success of our diverse events, including elegant weddings, sophisticated receptions, and other special occasions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality dishes for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
- Assist in the development and execution of customized menus for each event.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the event staff to ensure smooth service execution.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and event demands.
- Contribute creative ideas for new dishes and menu items.
Qualifications:
- Proven culinary skills and experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and event demands.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Experience with banquet/catering services preferred.
