Job Description:
As a Bartender at Hickory, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite cocktails and providing exceptional service to our guests. With at least 3 years of bartending experience, you will showcase your creativity and passion for mixology while delivering memorable experiences to every guest who visits our bar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beverages, and wine selections in accordance with Hickory's standards of excellence and recipes.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, answering questions, and creating personalized beverage experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service policies and procedures, including verifying the legal drinking age of guests and monitoring guest behavior to prevent overconsumption.
- Ring in orders accurately and efficiently, processing payments and handling cash transactions with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and coordinated service, communicating effectively to facilitate smooth operations during peak dining hours.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and rotating product to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to expand your knowledge of beverage trends, cocktail techniques, and wine selections.
- Uphold the Nicewonder Inn's standards of hospitality and service excellence, exceeding guest expectations with every interaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in bartending or mixology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, beverage service techniques, and wine varietals.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests and create memorable experiences.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple drink orders while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment, with a positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
